Hat Fashion Show, October 2009

“Hutmodenschau” (hat fashion show), October 10th 2009

This was a different kind of event.

One of our art club members makes hats and has a little shop too. To be able to show them to the broader public in our area, she asked if we would like to help her organize a fashion show with her in our village.
In return, we again could present a few of our works and this time it was planned only as exhibition.

After a short debate, we agreed to this rather excitedly.
During the summer everyone of us separately prepared what we wanted to show. I decided to keep on working in the literature section.
Knowing the time it takes for a book to be printed and shipped to me, I started out early enough to have the second book (“A New Chance”) ready for this show.

At the very beginning of the show, each one of the participating artist (not all of the club's members took part in this event) was introduced.
After the show, people had the chance to talk to each artist personally and have a closer look at their works.

I had intense talks with a few persons interested not only in the books, but also in me as person. As time for talking was limited, I had also some business cards (advertising my website this way as well) prepared for people interested in my works and had a list ready for ordering the books.

All these positive experiences encourage me even more to continue doing my art and presenting it.
